1978 Rabbit Hill

Here is a children’s hardcover edition of ‘Rabbit Hill’ by Robert Lawson. 1945 Newbery Medal winner originally published by Viking Press. This edition published in Puffin Books 1978.

“The story takes place in countryside by a crossroads in Westport, Connecticut. The animal inhabitants are suffering as the house nearby has been abandoned for several years and the untended garden, the animals' source of food, has withered to nothing. "New Folks" then move into the house: Are they hunters, or friendly gardeners who will provide for the animals?"

This book is in very good vintage condition. The covers are near mint, the inside pages are clean, a trace of a name on the first page that had been written in pencil, no other writing or marks, no dust jacket and the binding is tight.
