SOLD! 1880-90’s Daniel & Arter Victorian Glass Biscuit Barrel
Here is a beautiful antique Daniel & Arter Victorian glass biscuit barrel made in the late 1800’s in England. Hallmarked on both lid and rim, 'D&A EPNS 8417'. The rim, lid and handle were electroplated nickel silver, the silver plating is mostly gone leaving a matte black surface, this will not polish up. The handle is lightly bent and lid has a dent, glass shows light ware with a tiny bit of chipping on the bottom edge and some scratches. Barrel stands approximately 6” tall by 5 1/2” wide.
