This book was inspired by the life of Antje Paarlberg in the Dutch community of South Holland, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. It won the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1925.
This book is in good vintage condition, there is light sun bleaching on the spine, shelf ware, 2 small white dots on the back cover, a name written on the first page. The rest of the pages are clean with no writing or marks, the pages have darkened from age and the binding is tight.
