Here is a vintage porcelain miniature teapot made by Argyll Pottery Dunoon in Scotland in the 1960’s. This little teapot ornament has a thistle painted on one side and Hillport painted in gold on the other. Originally seen as a symbol of defence in the 15th century, the thistle, this prickly-leaved purple flower, is and will always be known as the symbol of Scotland.

This teapot measures 2” tall and is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, there is light rubbing on the gold handle and has beautifully crazing throughout. It also has the original sticker.
