SOLD! Vintage Hughes-Owens Model 1768C Slide Rule
Hughes-Owens model 1768 slide rule made by Hemmi Bamboo Slide Rule Manufacturing Co Ltd in Japan, made between 1964-1968.
Hughes-Owens (Canada) began marketing slide rules manufactured to its specifications by Hemmi in 1912. This slide rule is the Hughes-Owens version of the Sun Hemmi 40RK student Mannheim slide rule.
Slide rule, closed frame, celluloid on bamboo, double-sided slide, metal-rimmed plastic cursor. Tables of useful constants and how to calculate with them on reverse of stock. It consists in three strips of bamboo attached together through a plastic panel in middle. Scales are engraved into celluloid in the colours red and black.
This slide rule shows light ware and is in overall good condition.
