Here is an International Collectors Library edition of “ The Scarlet Letter” A romance by Nathaniel Hawthorne. This book is a reprint of the first edition of The Scarlet Letter, published in Boston by Ticknor, Reed, and Fields in 1850. The text is a faithful copy of the original, and has not been edited or abridged in any way except for the correction of obvious typographical errors. Printed in the USA. No date noted.
The book is made of blue faux leather, William Morris binding with gilt decorations to front and spine and raised bands. Attached is a purple ribbon bookmark. 214 pages. In good vintage condition with only light ware to the covers, the pages have darkened from age, the pages are clean with no writing or marks and the binding is tight.
